Good morning to you whom read these words. For your journey is taking you closer to your Full Potential in every day living.
Today we kick off with some thanks for SORROW. The most unlikely of things to be thankful for.
Feeling down during the holidays? Wherever there is high expectations there is a higher likelihood for disappointment. Sadness. Sorrow.
And while I hope you have the best of days.. I also trust that the lows are here to serve us as well.
I am reminded of a Rumi quote I saw somewhere (but could not re-find) that goes something like:
‘Sorrow hollows out the vessel to contain more joy.’
This notion that we can find Joy in sorry for what it promises, allows us to already start shifting our perception in anticipation for what good is about to fill our newly carved out vessel. Going to the bottom has new meaning if it’s setting the stage for even greater experiences of joy.
And that’s really what I want to leave you with today. To find thanks even in the most challenging of circumstances. Knowing that the way is being prepared for you. Have faith and know that behind every low is something greater.
