These are the four steps I use to get things done faster. Especially as they relate to my routine.
Step 1: Get all needed things together. For whatever tasks you’re about to complete, have all the things you need in one place.
Step 2: Identify and eliminate all unnecessary steps
Step 3: Time yourself
Step 4: Beat your best time by going back to steps 1 and 2.
You will undoubtedly learn how to do things faster or better after the first time you do something. As you repeat it you’ll get good at knowing what the shortcuts are. So step 4 is all about refining the process so you can do it faster / better / cheaper etc.
You can apply this process to anything, it works especially well for things you will need to repeat.
